it is sad to move especially at that age when you begin to make tighter bonds with your friends and develop a real social relationship. Be yourself in everything you do and always make friends wherever you may go. Keep in touch with your old friends and push for your parents to let you visit them every so often... moving is not the end of the world... but a brand new beginning... keep your head up high and be positive about things... You seem to have confidence... that is a good thing and rare these days... good luck!

I feel ya especially for my kids. I am only hoping that this will be my last move. Why do you move so much? Are your parents in the Military or civilian job?
Look at it this way... You get to see different parts of the country or the world that other kids your age do not get to see and learn. This is something that you will give to your new friends and your kids when you have them. Learn all you can. I only hope that this will be your last move when you get into High School.
Good Luck!

my family moves every couple of years so I know how you feel. The only positive side to moving I ever thought of is that you can be who you always wanted to be. if you ever wished you could be someone else now you can. Other than that it really sucks meeting new people. rumors get started about you before you even know anyone.

wow your sooo lucky.....you get to se different parts of the world all the time!!!
bummer abt missing your friends though.....
to make the first day of 8th grade easier just take a deep breath and look at the positive side of things- you get to make more new friends, you get see another part of this great world we live in and you'll have alot of great stories to tell your kids abt your trips around the world when you are older!!!!
looking at the bright side really helps ease the mind!!!
try it!!!
good luck!!!

yeah i feel ya. i'm 13 and haven't stayed in the same place for more than 2 years. just think of it as a vacation. and when you move to your new school, just walk in lookin' like you own the place. C: it was hard for me when i moved to australia. to be away from so much family in california. then when we moved back to california, we moved to vancouver, washington. it's so stupid. i hate moving, but you really can't do so much about it.
