I've been wearing the same pair for about 3 years and the bolts are starting to become lose. Even when I tighten them, they become loose fairly easily. I was just wondering what the average lifespan of a pair are (and because of my prescription, an average pair costs me about $350)

You should have an eye exam each year but your specs should be able to safely last you a couple three years... I would say when they start to dilapidate it's time.

u should replace them now. Or another time it should be done is when ur prescription has gotten worse and u need new ones

as you get older they say to go to the eye doctor each year.
i have not been to one since 2005 and getting along okay

where them as long as you can and go to your eye doctor place or lenscrafters to tighten the screws

i replace mine every two years for my prescription.
