what do guys (and girls) think of people who only wear brand name clothing?

im not a fan of those particular brands as they are expensive yet dull...however i do go for brands like french connection...their designs are usually more unique...so its whatever you're into i guess

I personally wear brand name clothing and I do it because it's convenient. I don't buy it purely cause other people buy it but maybe sometimes for the name. I work at American Eagle and I get 40% off everything so there's no reason why I wouldn't buy it. I find a store that generally fits what I consider good style and buy things from them it makes it easier. I'm not a person who wants to go around looking for thrifty trendy things that look good. Personally for me I buy a lot of Ralph Lauren, people may think it's expensive and people buy only because it's a good name brand. But I like the sporty sophistication that are inherent in most of their clothing.

I'm not an intense shopper I go to the mall with something that I want in mind, go get, and that's the only thing. I have better things than to spend time clothes shopping.

It shouldn't matter too much, some overseas manufacturers make VERY similar clothing for two completely different vendors. Louis Vuitton at one time made knockoffs of his own stuff because the underground was screwing with his business.

So, some might consider brand-whores "fools."

Actually i wear most name brand clothing(i am right now too)..lol i dont even know why!
I hate it when ppl brag with name brands(in a stuck up way)
And i hate when they down rate ppl who do not wear name brands.

Also with name brands sometimes you can get the best of the best! Some cheap clothing do not last long,or doesnt fit right(deffinitly with me). My family calls me "high mantnience" and it sometimes hurts my feelings because i just like certain brands or clothing from that brand**

i think they are clones and can't think for themselves and will never become anything special. they will probably lead dull lives while the creative individual(hard working)people will be the ones making the clothing that all those dull people will be wearing. personally, i can't imagine ever wanting to wear the same clothes as everyone else. it's disgusting to me.
the clothing is SOOOO DULL and crappy!!! the materials suck along with the bland designs!!!
personally, i guess i could care less if others are followers, because i'll be the one who will get ahead and be reigning over them=p =]

I don't mind. I rather like it, I wear name brands/desigers all the time. Not so much the ones you listed, but clothes from like Juicy, bebe, Calvin Klein.

The only time I have a problem with it is when they can't afford it but do it anyway. To put yourself in debt to portray some sort of lifestyle you can't actually afford is silly.

If a hardworking person who can afford to do so happens to have a preference for brand names, it doesn't bother me.

I think they wear it because perhaps that brand has a good reputation for looking good, or that it's well made. So people want to buy it. I don't like people that buy name brand just to say "Oh i got this shirt at ______ and paid XXXXX$ for it...." people like that bother me.

i think they are too into appearances...sometimes i wish no clothing had labels so people wouldnt feel the need to try to outdo one another!
