Take care of your people and your people will take care of you. Learn to organize, deputize and supervise. Realize that people want to work. It's as natural as eating, sleeping and breathing. And people want to work for an organization in which they have a say-so. Chew folks out in private. Praise them in public. Everyone once in a while, sit yourself down in front of a glass of water. Put your index finger in the water, pull it out and mark down the size of the hole you left. Commit yourself to following the following hard and fast rules:
1. Keep an "in" with the "outs". That janitor and mail room guy are as essential to the organization as you are.
2. Whatever you are given to do in the way of a task, do it with a smile.
3. Never get caught between the dog and the lamp post!

You should be kind, patient, and understanding. You should not view yourself at a higher level than others. You should instead act like an equal, get their ideas, work out decisions, and act accordingly. Good luck!!! :]
