I certainly listen to much more Punk than I do Country Music.
I still enjoy listening to Soul Asylum - they were mostly Punk, but often knew how to blend Country Music into their songs without sounding cliche. Check out Soul Asylum's CDs: 'Made To Be Broken', 'Hang Time', and 'And The Horse They Rode In On.'

Actually and Ironically..I'm a Country Punk Rocker, mainly due to the emergence of Dwight Yoakam & Steve Earle...we were know as "Cowpunks"! LOL isn't that silly, but it really happened for a short period..we loved the old electric country guitar sound made famous in Bakersfield, California and the pioneers were Buck Owens and Merle haggard...and now I don't feel like a Punk..I feel bucked & Haggard! LOL

Both! Why can't they live together in (some sort) of harmony? Besides, Johnny Cash is more punk than about all of the crap they claim is punk these days. Oh, I know what you're thinking, you teenage doofuses who shop at Hot Topic and think that Blink 182 and My Chemical Romance is punk. (Hint: They're NOT!) "I shot a man in Reno just to watch him die...." try and top it. Next Point: Willie Nelson has smoked more weed than all three guys in Sublime, all three guys in Green Day, and all of NOFX combined. Known Fact: Cowboys do more dope...than rock and rollers.

I Love both! its sorta funny that i think a country song could also be a punk song! not even shitting you! It has a sense of honesty (well when i say country i mean johnny cash, hank williams SR. guy clark, george jones, buck owens etc.) and when i say PUNk (anything before 90's excluding some bands) yeah

I'm not really a big fan of either, but if I'd have to say one, I'd say country. Punk rock is too dissonant for my taste.
