It's been 3 days but the leaves are looking dry. I have been keeping plenty of water on it. Is it just in shock from being replanting. Will it perk up soon? The base of the tree looks o.k.

Rose of Sharon (althea) is a very easy to transplant bush/tree (depending on how you prune it) I have transplanted these plants many times, some of them being 6 ft. tall at the time. The larger the plant, the more shock it is going to exhibit. Just keep watering it everyday and eventually it will start to perk up. You just can't hardly kill them. They can also be easily rooted in water or better yet in sandy soil with rooting compound.. I'm pretty sure your tree is going to be fine.

There are issues you're able to do as gazing while the solar is in that aria alongside the day, do you have a lot coloration, are there birds or what soil do you have (look on the weeds in the event that they are starting to be, are there bugs and that they supply you suggestion on the subject of the soil, then does it rain a lot or no longer the place you reside and maximum mandatory what do the friends boost and how a lot time are you able to daily put in? Do you have stressful winters or no longer? in accordance to that suggestion you may take a glance in a catalog or ask the salesman interior the flower and plant shop if the strategies you made are ok and what cloth you ought to plant and guard your plant life what they should do ok. If a plant would not bypass properly the 1st time do no longer positioned the comparable in back and take a check out out with extra low-fee plant life and don't stick to to a lot what's in, it may additionally be that the plant life you like won't bypass properly and what did your mum and dad and acquaintances and family individuals prefer to boost, you have seedlings or cuttings from them to purpose. stable success you'll be able to be sure which you have eco-friendly palms.

It is called Rose of Sharon. Did you check the amount of sun it requires? I don't think that is a sun loving shrub, but I could be wrong.

It could be in shock. This is not the time of year to plant trees or shrubs. You only plant them in the early spring or fall.

I think I would take a leaf to wherever you purchased it & ask them. It could be a disease too. They will get more diseases in the hot weather. Do you water until there is a bit of water sitting on top of the soil? It could be what is called "leaf curl".

Give it some Root Stimulator. Fertilome makes a good product I have used successfully. If you can't find "stim" a drink of MiracleGro will help.

Rose of sharron roots easily in water.
