It is not difficult at all. We need a face to put on terrorism. Isn't that clear. We could have saturated the region with bunker busters before he could have gotten out. We need that face. A face to hate.

Most people are found, based on them leaving a trail of records.
IE: they buy stuff, pay rent, etc.
That's not the case with bin laden.
So that means we must find the physical person.
Believe it or not, the enemy knows when our satellites are overhead. So it is easy to just hide during that 20 Min's.
And even if we had a satellite shot of bin laden.
Having someone actually look at that particular frame, would be a miracle.
the area of Afghanistan and Pakistan that bin laden is in, covers more than 100,000 sq miles.
So even if a satilite took a picture of all of it, everyday.
Your still talking about looking at 18 million pictures that cover a 30 foot by 30 foot box.
Heck, you have to remember, the 1996 Alanta Olympic bomber took 5 years to catch, and he was inside the US.

We pretty much know he is in the remote regions of Pakistan but the government will not let us send military in, in force. That is why he chose to go there. What we are doing is closely monitoring any electronic signals from that region. This eliminates his ability to communicate electronically. He is reduced to sending any messages by hand courier which are subject to being intercepted.
This part of Pakistan is so remote and inaccessible that the Pakistani government does not control it. It is basically controlled by local tribal leaders. These tribes speak their own dialects, know each other very well and can spot outsiders very easily. This makes it very difficult for Special Forces, too.

lol, we have the whole U.S. army looking for Osama Bin Laden yet we can't seem to find him. People blame Bill Clinton since he supposedly had a chance of catching Osama Bin Laden during his presidency, but Bush can't even catch Osama with an army? wtf?
We aren't even looking for Bin Laden. Guess the jokes on us.
Edit:
"uhhh.... seriously? Lets see... we have people on the FBI's most wanted list for years and years and they are right here in the states. Now, I know there is ONLY 6 BILLION people in the whole world... and Bin Ladden is somewhere out there, most likely in a country that is harboring him and that we can't easily go into... but I sure don't see any reason why we can't find him.... I am just as stumped as you.... (sigh)"
I know dude, like we are in Iraq winning the war on terrorism and Al Qaida has grown back its 9/11 equivalent powers or perhaps even surpassed it. I don't think a terrorist organization is suppose to continue growing if its getting beat down.
Also, what would Osama be doing in a warzone such as Iraq?
Like I said, we aren't even looking for Osama.

Bleeding heart liberals won't let the President do what is necessary to find and kill him. They hate President Bush so much they will do anything to make it impossible for him to fight the war on terror. Even the New York Times reveals classified information for the sake of causing problems for President Bush. If the liberals hate President Bush so much they would rather see this country fail, they should all be sent to Iran.

I'll give you a name (look it up) John Eric Rudolph.
He bombed an abortion clinic.
He bombed the Olympics in Atlanta, GA.
He was number one on the FBI's most wanted list.
He was able to avoid detection for over three years and stayed inside the U.S. the whole time.
How could he do this?
by the way, the USA is the ONLY superpower.

the Bush Family Dynasty and the Bin Laden Family Dynasty have been good friends and business buddies for decades.
besides, Osama is the bogyman that keeps on giving ... Bush an excuse for perpetual war that fills the bank accounts of all his other business cronies. to capture or kill Osama would be like killing the goose that lays the golden egg.

Oh, so many reasons.....
.. Let's begin with the terrain there. It's a place where you can hide anywhere yet it can take all day to travel 8 miles, even in a vehicle.
.. Let's consider the fact that every time we've narrowed it down CNN decided to tell the world, including OBL how we were doing it, so he stopped doing it.
The reality is that finding him would be like the Texas Rangers trying to find a particular hispanic in Mexico.
Consider that for a moment and you'll get a grasp of the reality..
I'll address that in a future entry in my blog, but if you wish to know more about the enemy we face, check it out now:
http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-DfkctJU7dK5B7LcNROoyVQ--;_ylt=AiNXZokI1G6zowgYXNnJS9msAOJ3?cq=1
Anyone that thinks it 'should be easy' to find OBL has never searched for a man in hiding and definitely has never been to the border areas of Afghanistan.
Believe it or not, Hollywood's version of our intelligence agencies are fiction. And even in their made up reality, they can't catch Jason Bourne who toys with them.

maybe they have found him Think about this, if he stays in power, we already know his contacts and infrastructure. If we 'get him', someone else will take over and we'll have to build a new profile for someone else. Until we can stop the movement, does it really matter who is at the top?
