I use a fork, but I really like potato skins, with cheese and bacon on top. Those are strictly finger food, the way God intended for us to eat. After all, there were no forks or spoons in the Garden of Eden.

A spoon works better for me especially if I put butter, sour cream, chives and bacon bits on the potato and mix it all together in the potato skin. When using a spoon you are able to scoop all of the potato out of the skin.

Use a spoon then you scoop out most of the center then if you eat the skin use the fork to cut it into bite size pieces.

Depends on what you put on it. If you are using tuns of butter and it becomes soft and mushy, a spoon may be easier. If you are stuffing it with cheese and broccoli, it would be better to use a fork.
