Check engine codes.Could also be a parcially plugged fuel filter,vacuum leak at fuel pressure regulator,Sticking EGR valve,weak fuel pump,Bad 02 sensor,low compression,and worn spark plugs.

On the surface I would have to say no.
==== DETAIL ====
The O2 sensor is used to FEEDBACK information to the ECU (computer) to FINE TUNE the air/fuel mixture at idle and cruise. At wide open throttle (WOT) the O2 is even completely ignored. The ECU is also programmed to know how much feedback is too much or too little (that's when the ECU decide to light the check engine light).
But here's the kicker: with electrical system anything is possible because if the O2 sensor wire is somehow grounded wrong (shorted) then your whole ECU is shorting out also. Your O2 sensor should have a quick disconnect. Try disconnecting it and see if the car still stalls out. Remember your check engine light will come on and stay on. Goto Autozone (or many other auto parts store) to get it reset.

YES !! the O2 sensor measures the exhaust gas profile and adjusts the fuel/air mixture accordingly. If it is faulty it can send a false reading to the ECM (Electronic Control Module) and cause it to lean out the mix to the point that it stalls the motor.

yes and no. if it is biased lean or rich, the computer will try to adjust the mixture to stoichiometric, but if that ideal mix is too much in either direction... at the same time, if the computer sees information that does not make sense it will store a code and ignore the information from that sensor. ill give you two questions real quick to aide you in finding a solution,
A) did the check engine light come on?
b) even with out the light did you pull any codes?

No, when a 02 sensor is bad it only causes the car to run in "open loop" mode, which means it gives a rough idle, it wouldnt cause it to stall.

yes it will ,it will also make the idle surge up and down on it all the time,and not hold any steady idle at all,and it will stall it out a lot,with this you,ll also get a check engine light come on,when this happens,but have it scanned to make sure,auto zone or advance can scan it and tell you for sure,good luck hope this helps.

you have executed a spectacular job of conserving that ol' element going. NOW it's time to substitute those O2 sensors, they have burned up Use authentic BOSCH ones, and you have Time to save for the beset costs ont he internet.you are able to start via potential WASHING your engine and wiring harnesses with GUNK ORANGE. many situations, basically street dirt will interrupt service to those issues. i take advantage of CHLORINATED BRAKE cleanser to get this job executed. <<>>>is the THROTTLE BDOY and the linked IDLE AIR administration VALVE> those issues regulate the AIR element of your injection gadget. THis works in a CYCLE. THe O2 sensors deliver a sign to the IAC vavle to function extra or much less AIR to the incoming charge of injected gas. If the IAC is grimy, it won't respond and tire out your O2 sensors. in many situations they are going to stay sparkling as long as your air/gas mixture is high-quality! maximum later sort O2 senosrs are HEATED< and that's what has long previous undesirable with time, probably. you are able to try removing THEM and cleansing them off. someone who's acquainted with can try the wires on it with a VOLT/OHM meter. you additionally can try JUNK YARDS for solid used ones. even with the shown fact that it is unlawful. maximum O@ senosrs bypass undesirable from a grimy IAC vavle. in case you will locate some AMSOIL potential FOAM< use that and gumout to run by way of your intake gadget> this could celan the piston tops, rings, valve heads, and additionally the O2 senosrs on it is way out of the engine. solid luck!!!
