Why does the difference between experimental and calculated value of AgCl's lattice energy is larger than of NaCl's.
p.s. this is under the Born-Haber cycle chapter so i think they are somehow related.

This is a classic exam question! The large difference is due to the fact that the assumptions in calculating the LE of AgCl using a purely ionic model are invalid due to its considerable covalent character.
