ok..my boyfriend and I recently started having sex. We are each other's firsts (no STDs)....I've always been on top and he is VERY ''well equiped''....i expected to bleed the first time, but we've done it about 10 (plus/minus) times and i bleed verrrrry lightly afterwards sometimes. there is no pain and we always use protection. could it just be because of the position and his size?

i DO use tampons and my periods are very regular. I'm pretty sure that my hymen never tore from using a tampon.

Well when you say well equiped I would think you mean bigger which would make it even more painful. Did you masturbate a lot before sex b/c that can make you bigger there for stretching you out. The whole point y 1st sex hurts is b/c you are small. Maybe you are just naturally big? I would highly doubt it is the postion. Although that can effect some sex.

that is exactally correct. first off i am proud for you to being smart and using a condom everytime. second condoms cause friction inside the vagina, that can cause bleeding. plus the bigger the penis can cause the same friction which can also cause bleeding. after you all get used to eachother, and sex get's more normal, the bleeding will stop. if you are raw for any reason after sex, try to go a few days even a week with out any sex, to let your vaginal canal heal. good luck be safe.

Your lack of discomfort is likely due to the position. When the woman is on top, then SHE is in control of the insertion and the thrusting. This allows her to be more relaxed and take "things" as she wants it. Its a very good position when with a well endowed partner.

Congrats and welcome to the world of sex! There is nothing as great as sex, just remember to ALWAYS be safe about it! That aside, not everyone experiences any kind of discomfort their first time. I really can't tell you why but I know this because I neither bled nor felt pain my first time either. It's just different for everyone I guess. Just enjoy yourself and consider yourself lucky to not have had a traumatizing painfully messy first time!

do you use tampons? cuz once you insert a tampon, your hymen breaks, so you don't bleed when you have sex for the first time. i use tampons and i never did my first time.....so that's why i was asking
