if u mean atlantis drown in 1882, then i can say for sure that i don't believe it.
because +- in 15th century portugese and spain have been sail around the world, 1 go to west and other go to east and then they meet each other in indonesia, but they never reach or heard a place called atlantis.
if atlantis really still exist in 18th century, why there's no history proofment about it?

i believe atlantis really exist long time ago, but really really long time ago. not just about 200year ago.

I think the Greeks labeled Santorini Island and its real civilization as something we think of as Atlantis...but the myth probably goes back to the same Hebrew and Sumerian myths of the flood....But it probably all is a very old story over 10,000 years old from when the population of all was more concentrated....say in the area of the Black Sea....there is real evidence that the Black Sea was flooded after the last ice age and the surviving inhabitants would have populated the world with their descendants...the stories would have been retold and changed over time. In other words it is a creation by the Greeks of an older place.

I don't know. There are many beliefs concerning Atlantis. There is no proof against it and none can prove it. It could be. What would happen if we could let go of our belief in our own understanding and those whom we consider the scientists and masters of higher thoughts. Think we might learn something new?

Interesting. It was drawn in 1882. It's very nice. I want to find out more about the artist.
