I've learned to enjoy the oysters without looking for the pearls. I enjoy the oysters so much more.

I smoked the oysters and ate those at the last Christmas party I threw. The pearls...I cast those before the swine a LOOOONG time ago. Which is ok, I learned that talking to some people (those who ask for help, but never follow through.) Is a total waste of energy, time and words. They are all non-renewable resources. Now, when they call, I just keep my little pearls to myself and save the energy. Just doing my part for the environment.

Well, perhaps the oysters haven't had any irritants strong enough to cause them to produce pearls? Those do take quite a while to form, you know.

Yes but I'm also beginning to believe that pearls are over-rated.
