My right upper arm, on the under side of it has hurt for almost two weeks. Through out the day, it comes and goes...and sometimes it's almost unbearable while other times it feels like hardly more than a twinge of pain. However, it doesn't hurt anymore when I stretch it or move it or put pressure on it. But seems to hurt most when it's just at my side. Although it does seem to hurt a little more sharply when I move it suddenly and quickly. It's not a kink or knot in the muscle, and it hasn't bruised. The pain feels achey, but kind of sharp as well. I'm not sure if it's the muscle or the bone, but it kinda just feels like that whole part of my arm, any ideas?

I'm gonna mention it at my physical here in a few days, but I just wanna know if you might have any ideas, so maybe I kinda know what I might be dealing with here.

Thank you.

It sounds like bursitis- which is just the word meaning inflammation of the bursa which is part of your shoulder--try taking aleve for a couple of days--it's two weeks so heat should make it feel better - moist heat--heating pad with the moist towel inside- and place it on top and around your shoulder--you will know almost immediately if it feel "better" you should get some comfort from it--you also can have a "spur" which is just a projection of bone that can be irritating a nerve--only every so often which is how your pain is, and that causes the pain--all above can be determined by a shoulder xray--and your doc may like you and agree to inject your shoulder with anti-inflammatories which will aleve the pain immediately.........good luck to you.
