i'm about to trim my pubic hair a little bit, i'm just asking, is it gonna effect the penis in any way?

Triming "a little bit" is harmless. Stubble is very uncomfortable, so don't cut too short. And please don't go bald there -- that can encourage the growth of both fungal and bacterial infections on the unprotected skin, which can make you red, raw, itchy, and stinky. Having a reasonable amount of hair there cuts down on chaffing and keeps air circulating to evaporate sweat. So trim JUST "a little bit" -- the less, the better.

Not usually any danger associated with pubic hair removal although an Australian woman almopst died recently as a result of a brazilian waxing gone bad.

The harm is when you don’t. The purpose for pubic hair is to “wick” our pheromones out in the air.
We don’t walk around naked so there is no way for the pheromones to escape, and your crotch ends up stinking.
Keep everything neatly trimmed, and your body odor will go down. Making the area more enjoyable for visitors.

No, it will harm you as much as a hair cut. My girlfriend likes me to keep my pubes trimmed and my balls shaved, oral sex feels much better and she enjoys giving it more this way. Besidesd, it helps reduce any odor you may have from sweaty balls.
