which is the better deal?

Im going to trade my ukulele and my LCD scrolling belt buckle for my cousins 1st generation ipod nano....his nano is kind of beat up...i paid $20 for the uke and $20 for the belt buckle....so...basically...im giving him $40 for his old beat up 2GB 1st generation nano...is that ripping him off?

if it works good deal. just get a case for it b4 it gets any worse so its like u getting it for 40. on ebay they go for more.
