Southern Illinois is like another country, and it's not what most people think of when they think of Illinois.
We are held captive to the dishonest govoner and his corrupt lackies, but day to day we are nestled between the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers in lush green rolling hills.
The humidity is a little too high for my taste but the people are mostly friendly and the cost of living is reasonable, we get enough snow to make this Wisconsin girl happy and long springs and autums.
I'd rather be in Maine or Arizona, Scotland of Japan, but this is a fair alternative

I live in Australia and it's an ok day for winter. Fairly cloudy but not as cold as it could be. Stopped raining about an hour ago so my dogs running around in the mud. I live in Melbourne by the way. I wish it was summer so bad

I'm in AZ., sorry. But here it's --surprise!--very hot and sticky. No, it's not a "dry heat." The weather man keeps telling us it's going to rain, alas, we haven't had any monsoon weather yet. I LOATHE it here and wish I were in England or Scotland, or anywhere with some precipitation!

I'm in the UK its good here, but very busy, very multi cultural and always on the go! It's got lots of history, green scenery, beautiful coastlines and the people are ok too!
