I like the early and old hardrock bands the most but for
modern and I haven't really seen hardrock new bands but I
liked GreenDay and I think they were called Jet. Are they
considered hard rock today ?

Right now, my favorite hard rock acts are The Gathering, To-Mera, and Green Carnation.
(I think most of the MTV bands are pretty pathetic.)
