You can in some cases, but usually only at the ATM for the bank where your savings account is kept, not at another bank's ATM machine. Usually you get a deposit envelope and you put the endorsed check inside it (sign the back of the check with your name, exactly as your name is written on the check, in the place indicated on the back of the check). When prompted by the ATM there is a slot where the envelope is inserted. That's it!

You can deposit into your savings account using an atm machine if you have a card...another option is to find your banks night deposit box and deposit into that.

Yeah, the atm machine for the bank you bank with. I deposit my check through the atm all the time!
