It is way too eariler!! Wait until Jan. to ask this. There still are trades to be made! J.O, K.G. etc...... Kobe said he needed somebody and he is probably going to get it. We don't know how soon Kevin and Greg are going to develop. What about Yi? What if a player gets injury? How is Lewis going to help in Orlando? Is Allen and Carmelo finally going to live up to their hype? Can Yao and T-Mac stay healthy for a whole season?

As of right now I would say the Spurs because not that many teams are that deep but the Suns could give them a run for their money.

The Dallas Mavericks.

1st of all the Mavs have had two dissapointing playoff runs and two great seasons - I guess the third time is the charm.
Josh Howard had a great season this season and we can only expect for him to get even better as well as Devin Harris.
Dirk is the MVP so he will obviously have a great season and they resigned Stack and have time to make trades to get solid support players.
The Mavs have enough skill to beat anyone in the West and they wont lose to the warriors again. So my pick is for the MAvs.

THe Run and Shoot Rockets will win the Finals next year. The uptempo (throwback) style will catch the league off-guard. Its one thing to read that a team will play uptempo, its entirely a different deal trying to stop them. The only way to stop a run and gun team is with endurance.....if your team is running (in practice and running hard) you can hang it up. I think the Rockets with their new additions will make it to the finals and ultimately defeat the Pistons or the Cletics.

i want rockets 2 win and they have a good chance, but it has 2 got 2...................................chicago bulls. dirk and steve r aging. shawn marion migh get traded. The spurs have 2nd best chance, but they have never repeated, and how will the spurs adjust with parker scoring 25+??????Pistons r old 2, cavs dont have a point guard and 2 reliant lebron(they got 2 finals by luck, after versing an injure riddled wizards and the 2nd worst eastern playoff team nets, plus getting very lucky against pistons). nuggets might go if melo and AI can mesh better. but they have no depth(might help if kenyon martin stop getting injured!)

It'll be Cavs vs Mavs next year! I want the Cavaliers to win; it'll be nice to start off LeBron's promising career with a ring at age 23. But that would really hurt the Mavericks; 2 finals defeats in 3 years. Mark Cuban would get a heart attack

If Chicago gets a scoring big man they can win the east. And then in the finals anything can happen. Don't bet against San Antonio though.

Probably another West coast team. Though, not Phoeniz or Dallas for sure. Both of those teams choke in big playoff games.
My guess would be the Spurs again.

San Antonio Spurs will repeat this season! My favorite NBA team is the Lakers; however, I'm looking forward to the Spurs getting back to back titles so that coach pop and the team can finally get the praise they deserve. Spurs are one of the few teams in the league that understand the meaning of teamwork and night after night, they demonstrate the fundamentals of basketball.
