My father-in-law owns a towing business. So they get to keep whatever is in the cars that people don't come back to pick up. Right now there is a huge garage full up just junk and it's in the way. I've organized it but there is so much stuff it's just over flowing..My mother-in-law refuses to throw stuff away...So, I had an idea of opening a 2nd hand store...There are tons of clothing, tools, sport equipment, toys, books, etc...I could sell...but I do not know what I would need to do to open a 2nd hand store to sell all this stuff!!!

You could just buy a spot in a flee market. Not sure what first step is for a store though.

Start by just having a Garage or Yard sale if by-laws allow.
Look up Flea Markets in your area & find what they charge.
Usually, it's something like $25 for a table or booth area.
Are there any existing second hand stores, they may take it.
Do you just want to get rid of it, or make some money?
