I'm 17. My parents don't really mind, because I'm a good girl and they trust me. I just want to KIT with my friends.. What do you think?

Don't do it. However, if you do, at least set the account to private. Personally, I'm not comfortable publishing to the world private information (pictures, conversations, jokes, etc.) about myself and friends. Everyone has said something or done something they regret or am glad that it occurred between people they trust. When you use MYSPACE you're basically sharing what you do with the world and copies of it will exist for the rest of your life. That is pretty scary. Would you want an employer seven years from now to judge you for something you did as a young adult?

Hey! I think you should get a myspace but be careful with who you talk to. If someone asks you to be their friends and you do not know them, then you should not accept the friend request! Also, set your myspace on private?

I would keep it private and say something like add me,I like to know my friends,I say that and keep to about 80 good friends and 80 organizations or bands,it is safer and more fun and also I use it educationally!It is fun,if you keep with the right crowd,you have to be very careful!I am going to have to block a couple people coz I think they are men pretending to be women and I am single and 43 and by my profile,looks like I got it going on and I look 28-30,so,be careful,hon!

I think you have to be very protective or your privacy and true identity. Don't use your real name, or say where you work or go to school or what sport's teams you are on, and be careful that the pictures you post don't give out any identifying information--like your soccer team jerseys and where you play. The pervs are looking for fresh meat, so if they like the way you look and you say seductive things the may stalk and find you. Be careful.

It depends on whether or not you're going to be smart about it. You should definitley get one unless you're going to be postng stuff like this: I'm going to be hanging out alone behind an alley in [enter city, state, and place] on [enter time and date]. Lol, well I could be exagerating, but l of the people who got kiddnapped and what not only ggot kiddnapped becaue they made stupid decisions. Good Luck :)

If it weren't for myspace I wouldn't be in touch with any of my family as scattered as we are. Get one by all means. Just don't respond to anyone you don't know. Better yet, set it to private so it's just you and your friends.
It can be a great way to communicate if you use your common sense.

Save your time and do not jump in to a pool of **** and ******* lies that messes everybody and makes a virtual world invade the world of Truth and it kills people like you because even if you have it on private people can still encrypt the system and trace you i.p address and it can tell were you live your name and your parents names as it can involve a colossal brawl of problem that has gotten a lot of people killed for no reason

I think MySpace is a huge time waster, but if it's something you want to do, and you're safe with it, then it's o.k. Just don't let it interfere with your studies or social life, and don't post pictures or identifying information for anyone you don't know personally.
