About what percentage of Europe died during World War II including military and civilian deaths?

3.7% according to Civilian Casualties of World War Two.

I don't know the percentage 'cause I have no idea what they started with; add it up: 20 million Russians, 6 million Jews, 6 million assorted others in the death camps, gypsies, homosexuals, political prisoners, Poles, millions in each of the invaded countries. I have read the figure 55 million for the total war, but I think that also included the Pacific theater; so I would guess 50 million of them were in Europe, at least.

Boggles the mind, doesn't it?

Not sure of percentages, but US Government puts the total deaths of WW II, in all theaters of war, at over 60 million...but that includes Asia and the Pacific theaters of war as well.

Overall deaths in Europe both civilian and military were about 3.7% of the population.

Not sure of ALL of Europe but I read 20,000,000 Russians died in total, which would be about 10% of the entire population of Russia (or the Soviet Union).
