You should go to your local health department or planned parenthood. They know how different medicines will interact, and they can best advise you what to use. Just do a search for "your city" and "health department" or "planned parenthood". Confidentiality is YOUR RIGHT, and no medical profssional can share your information with your parents. Good luck!

Well I know they have basically moved away from using the patch. I was on the patch when I get pregnant for my daughter. To be honest if you can remember to take the pill everyday then that is the best way to go. You can go down to plan parenthood and get birth control and you just tell them that your parents do not know you are down there. They cannot tell your parents anything. But to be honest make sure you use condoms regardless because 1) birth control is not 100% and 2) diseases (definitly not the way to tell your parents your having sex).

condoms are always a must unless you are in a serious relationship in which you know you are both STD free. STD's are real. I knwo plent yof people who have them. I tried the shot, depo-provera, and it is supposed to stop your period. I bled for 3 months straight. The patch is ok, but can wear off easily, and there are lawsuits about it's safety these days. I have been on the pill basically for 4 years. I love it. You just hae to remember to take it daily! Look for a planned parenting clinic, or just call around the clinics. Ask about "Title V" (five). This is how anyone can get birth control for free and without parents consent. In order to have any birth control, you have to have a yearly pap smear, which Title V may or may not cover. Good luck!

Look in the phone book for a planned parent hood near you. They are into the preventive pregnancy's and are toll free. They help by giving out condoms, birth control, and even abortions if needed. If any of the staff tries to tell you to abstain, THROW A FIT! That isn't their job...it is your parents. The woman that founded that agency did so to stop woman from having back street abortions! Which would kill, maim, and harm girls and woman. Oh and also they are confidential and can't even call your home...

The only OTC (over the counter) method available nationwide in the USA would be condoms. The others will require a prescription from a physican. (Depending on your state's laws)

No birth control method is 100% (other than abstinance), but to be at their most effective all the other methods must be used properly each and every time. Also, the hormones (patch, shots, pills) do not protect against STD's (sexually transmitted diseases).

Finally, if you are mature enough to handle sex, you should be mature enough to discuss it with your parents. If you intend to act like an adult then ACT LIKE AN ADULT! Quit sneaking around.

Condoms and the pill.

Don't take Nuva Ring if you have a family history of blood clots.

Also DO NOT use double condoms. During sex the condoms can rub against each other and the friction can cause breakage more often than using one condom. A better method would be to use condoms with spermicide. . .no doctor necessary.

Though you will have to constantly preserve that during brain, do not allow the inside track experiences scare you. There are different choices too. There's the beginning manipulate patch, there is an IUD (I suppose that is what it is referred to as), diaphrams, and so on. Talk for your healthcare professional approximately it. If your mature enough to have sex, you should be mature enough to make a doctor's appointment so they can advise you of which birth control method would be best for you.

You could always go to the drug store to buy condoms. If you are too embarrassed, maybe your not ready to take that big step!

In most cities there are clinics where they will give you birth control and they can also tell you if it is safe with the medications that you are already taking. Just try to find a clinic from the phone book or see if there is a plan parenthood around you and they will help you and there is usually no charge to you. You can also tell them you dont want your family to know and they wont tell them.

You need to go to the doctor or Planned Parenthood and tell them the medications you are on. That way they can prescribe the best form of birth control for you.
