It completely depends on the team. Some teams that win the world series choose only to give rings to those on the active postseason roster, other teams choose to give them to enyone on the 40 man roster. When the Red Sox won it in 2004, they gave rings to almost everyone in the organization. Even Nomar Garciaparra got a ring, even though he was traded away mid-season.

The players that are on the team roster at the time of the series would be eligible to receive a ring. IIRC that goes for the players on the injured list but not players that had played for the team earlier in the year; including those that have gone back to farm league or who have been traded.

It he's on the 40 man roster, he will more than likely receive a ring but the players on the 25 man roster get to vote on who receives a playoff share and a ring.

Not unless he is on the roster of a team playing in the world series.

I wonder though if the batboy gets a ring.

It depends on the team, The front office people all get rings, but players deciede who(among players) gets them.

if he is on the team then yes, even if hes benched and didnt play the series, but if he got sent down before they won the series then no.

yeah, if he gets something like 40 ab's then he'll get one and i'm not sure how many innings pitched it is, but as long as they're on the forty man roster they will get one. Also the club decides who else they want to give one to. Technically they can give one to whoever they want to.
