Thinking of buying a new optical drive for my computer, could a "48x CD-RW/DVD" drive burn DVD's?

Alright, so now i know i cant write DVD's, but can i still rip them to my computer, but not necessarily write them to another DVD?

No, a CD-RW/DVD drive can only burn CD's and read DVD's. If you want a drive that can burn DVD's, you have to get a drive that also has DVD-RW, meaning that it can write and re-rewrite DVD's.

Sorry. except it says DVD-/+RW, it is in basic terms CDs. in case you will possibly be able to desire to burn DVDs, attempt getting an externalpersistent. they are speedier than workstation drives and in case you go searching they are in basic terms approximately $40-$60. many times pc shops sell them greater value-effective than electronics shops.

u have to be able to rip the dvds unless u get them offline but it should work if u buy a dvd or rent one u need special software in order to do so sence of the copy right and all
