I've just read that "Thousands of Harry Potter fans have signed a petition urging J.K. Rowling to keep writing novels about the boy wizard after she admitted she could "never say never" to more books."

as phenomenal as HP story has been, each new book that she writes stands a higher chance of turning out to be a flop.

All the die hard fans who started reading since the first one are growing up, and its not easy to keep up with the changing demand from the fans. Afterall, all good stories must have an end. Even TV series will always drop in its rating after several season and eventually, it will be ended.

HP has a chance to actually end on a high rather than ended due to dropping popularity, so its best everything ends now.

As much as I hate to say this, I have to agree that Harry Potter has to stop now. I love Harry Potter and Daniel Radcliffe but before people really gets sick and tired of him, Joanne made the right choice in choosing to stop at book 7. Hope she can keep to it and not succumb to pressures.

This is almost like when Sir Arthur Conan Doyle killed off Sherlock Holmes. He got a lot of angry fans threatening him, and he had to bring the character back.
