First you have to figure out if you are getting metal brackets or clear brackets. If you are getting clear brackets, it is because you don't want your braces to be noticeable, so colors does not make any sense.
If you are getting metal brackets, the colors depends on the season, holidays and your preferences. During Halloween, orange and black are the most popular colors. Till recently, red, white and blue are popular in my office. During fall and summer, bright pink and lemon green are popular. Another popular combination is your favorite sports team. I had my braces in my thirties and since Minnesota vikings is my favorite team, I used to get purple and gold/yellow. I can't tell you what colors to get but try to avoid clear as it stains quickly with majority of foods, coffee etc. White looks tacky and if your brushing and flossing is not great, red will make look your gums look even more unhealthy. In my opinion the best color is silver. It blends well with the brackets and does not stain. Some Orthodontist get pearl (from Ormco company). This looks like clear but does not stain.
Also remember that you get your colors change every 4-6 weeks. So you can try different combination every time. While it is a pain for the Orthodontist, you can also request a rainbow!

Agh, I've got braces. I'm 15. Well, to start off, I would get a color that matches most of your wardrobe, and make sure it's not a color that sticks out like a sore thumb.
Each month, I get my colors changed.

colored!!! they're lots extra exciting. you are able to pick a lot of colorations. to attempt colorations get this app noted as BraceMate, i like it and that i'm no longer an advert. those with photos make your face look weird and wonderful. happy i ought to help!

Do you know how annoying having colored bands on the braces are...plus it always makes you look like you have something stuck in your teeth...Ugh!
I'd just let them use the regular bands that way it'll attract less attention...

whatever your favorite color is. Id get black cuz im a fan of ska and it would work well for me haha

Darker colors will make your teeth look whiter.
