for a 7th grader ( 12 -13 year old) to have a bf?? ecause my freidn asked me out and he in going into 9th grade. but i know about the whole pressurre thing and stuff

no. Wait until you are in high school, at least! You have alot of things to do besides having a boy friend. Tell him that you will wait another year before you think about dating, btu you want to be freinds.

At that age a lot of people 'go out' with each other and its just talking on the phone so no harm. But 7th grade and the 9th grade is a big difference.

It's okay to have a boyfriend but he should be closer to the same grade. Even though there is only a small age difference (2 years usually) the maturity issue/expectations is much higher. Hormone levels are much different in a guy this age. It is much safer to stay with a boy your own age and grade.

We're the same age and yes, It's normal to have a boyfriend. Yeah, He's probably going to pressure you cuz he's 2-3 years older but if you really like and trust him, I think you should say yes. It's obviously not going to be that serious of a relationship. I hope that helps.

Of course. Just know that you're probably (I say probably because I'm not a hypocrite, and I do believe that anything is possible) not going to be together forever. But you may be together for a long time. It is very mature of you to ask this, and good luck sweetie.

nope. i had a boyfriend in the FIFTH grade. as long as he's not mroe than 2 or 3 years older than u, than i think its fine.

i dont think so;...atleast wait till 15-16 honey..this is the time to study and not have bfs...crucial time of ur life...so concentrate on better things
however if u r dying to go out,...then who am i to say...but just be careful

I would never let my daughter go out wit some when she 12yrs. But lots of ppl does it at my school
