Oh, here is my favorite.. I like the natural beauty found in stones...especially semi-precious. I have a favorite ring that I wear...rather large... A masculine silver southwestern American Indian design embedded with a very interesting turquoise stone and some red coral. It covers my finger from knuckle to knuckle. During a trip to Puerto Vallarta Mexico, I rented a car (a beat up dune buggy)...and drove three hours on torn up Mexican roads during an electrical storm through (happily...hehehe) the town of Tequila (where it comes from) to a very small village called Magdalena...where I negotiated several black opal purchases from selected merchants around the town plaza. I brought them home and had them custom mounted for a ring, cuff links and a tie pin. They are awesome. See link below for a photo of black opals. The ones I bought look more like the one with red it in. They look awesome against a crisp white french-cuff shirt with my black suede jacket...

I love opal over onyx, it makes the opal take on a purple tone and really brings out all the flares in it.
