I tried to put one in right thoughout my whole period but never succeeded. My mom says that I should keep practicing, but is that bad to do even if I take it out right away?

As long as you don't leave it in, you can practice. Realize it's gonna be pretty hard to put in/take out unless you're well lubricated. It could be a little painful

I wouldn't suggest putting them in when you're not on your period for the reason that you're really dry and because of that it hurts putting it in and taking them out! If you really want to do that though I would suggest putting vaseline or something on the tampon (that's what I did) to make it slide in easier. Use your fingers to loosen yourself up a bit and you should be fine. You'll get it! And once you do you'll realize that tampon's are amazing.

This is not a direct answer, but are you using tampons with an applicator? If you are, I don't really have any advice, but if you are not, you should try them, you may have a higher success rate. Try a plastic applicator. But, you are not supposed to use tampons outside of your period.

It shouldn't be a problem. Just don't forget about it and leave it in.
Also, sometimes the little OB Tampons are easier to use when you are just starting to use tampons. They are easier to guide with your finger rather than an applicator.

Yes, it is bad.

You should practice when you have your period and something for the tampon to cling to.

Without your period, there is not enough moisture for the tampon to cling to and it will cling to you instead. When you pull it out, you will hurt yourself and your hole will be sore.

Practice during your period.

absolutely not! not only will it hurt to insert and remove, it will soak up the lubrication that is normally secreted. furthermore, tampons will leave behind tiny fiber particles that, if left to build up, cal lead to infection, especially when they aren'e being flushed out with menstrual fluid.

Just make sure you take it out as soon as you put it in. Don't leave it because it can increase your risk of TSS.
