Accurate in what regard? For determining gender? A 10 week ultrasound IS NOT accurate in determining gender! All fetuses have little "nubs" at first, for lack of a better word, that will either develop into the clitoris or the penis, and they do not look different until about the 14th week. At 10 weeks, the parts are so small anyway that there's nothing to see...baby himself (or herself!) is only about 1 1/2 inches long, so any gender parts are TEENSY. If you're talking about something besides gender, I'm not sure what you're talking about, could you please specify? If you mean gestational age, the first trimester scans are usually accurate within a week of your baby's gestational age.

even even though it does nonetheless happen that the tech isn't suitable, ultrasounds have come a protracted way, and now they are extra precise than ever. The final I incredibly have heard of everyone's ultrasound being incorrect replaced into 5 years in the past. i understand that the tech must be ninety% particular of the intercourse to enable you realize one, so for now i'd believe i replaced into having a woman. Get yet another ultrasound later directly to be sure, and good success!

Not that accurate sometimes you cant see a heart beat the only thing you will be able to see is the sac. so if that is what you are wondering about um...I would ask to get another ultrasound done in like 2 weeks .

According to my doctor (now retired from OB), they are very accurate in the first trimester, but can still be off by plus or minus a week. They are able to prove this via IVF and insemination (where conception was clearly known).

My baby was born bang on her due date - 3% do apparently; but they can be +/- 2 weeks, as they take it from the middle of your last period.
