Needs a driving school in San Leandro area, any suggestions?

Suggest you contact a driving school. I sent two of my sons to them. It's the safest way to learn and well worth the money, I thought. It didn't take too long before they were able to pass the test. I couldn't teach them -- scared the heck out of me riding with inexperienced drivers I was supposed to teach..

As anyone knows, there is more to driving than knowing the rules of the road.

I do not know of any places to learn, but you keep looking and find one. Get some experience in driving and then take the test. Do it the right way.

Quick search finds

No no no. You don't need to go to a driving school. It's a waste of money and time. If you're over 18 that is. Go to the DMV and get the road rules start reading it. After you study the booklet and you have a good idea about driving go take the writing test. You will get a permit to drive for 3 months. After that if you're confident enough take the road test and you do you're done!
