"We have sent a message to your young people that if you don't go to college and you don't have a high-paying job--something like a basketball palyer or an entertainer, or maybe someone in a corporation--that you're thought less of in America."
Hillary Clinton

Since when do we do that in this country? Most people I know don't have a college degree and have done quite well for themselves. 72% of Americans don't have a college degree and about half never attended college. Who is this woman talking about anyway?

*Democrat Economic Tax Mantra* : I raise Your taxes so we the arrogant Socialist democrat elite will have more of Your hard earned money at our disposal ; because we know that you the American taxpayers` don`t have the mental capability to know on what , or how to spend Your own money. We will tell you what you need and what you don`t need in your life! Tax and Spend , Tax and Spend , we Liberal Socialist know what is better for you than you know for yourself. We are the Kings and Queens in this government , you the taxpayers are our serfs , and lackeys . We know how to spend Your hard earned money better than you do yourselves ! The Socialist Liberal tries to solve problems by raising taxes , then takes Your tax money , and simply throws Your money into the Black Hole of Spending , not solving the problem ; but the Liberal Socialist thinks the problem will go away if you just throw enough of Your money at it , and not have to worry about being asked questions about it by the Socialist Liberal Bias` news media ..Kinda` like in the 30 some odd years ( 60`s , 70`s , & 80`s ) that the Socialist Liberal democrats had total control of Congress when they spent Trillions and Trillions of dollars of Your tax money on " education" to solve the "education crisis" , now 40 years later this same group of Socialist Liberal wantabe dictators , are still preaching the same old line of BS ; "we need to fix the education system ". Well they had 30 + years to solve the "education crisis" , and its` guaranteed worse today than it was 30+ years ago ! So; why do we still have an education crisis , after 30+ years , and trillions and trillions of Your taxpayer money thrown into the "democrat black hole of problem solving" ? Why do we still have the problem , because the Socialist Liberals` don`t solve problems , they just throw YOUR money at the problem , hoping it will go away !! Now they must get back into power so they can do the same thing to the health care system , the entitlement programs , and create more bureaucracy for more "Black Holes" for Your tax money to be thrown into !!!!!

When Hillary pretends to speak for America she is really telling us what she personally thinks of the average American, and when Edwards speaks of "2 Americas" I see a slight grin on his face that tells me he likes it that way so he can use all the gullible little people as pawns in his game to keep himself as far away from their America as he can.
Condescending is too kind a word to use when describing the attitude of Hillary and Pretty John. If I used the words that best describe them this yahoo account I'm using would surely be deleted. Once again I would be suspendedforhonesty...

As a legislator, I can't imagine writing laws based simply on anecdotal evidence I have from the group of people that I socialize with. Incidentally, most of my friends are college graduates, or in the process of getting college degrees or graduate degrees but make around 40K because many of them work in politics or for non-profits, they're at the beginning of their careers, and the pay is less than great. If I tried to write policy based on my or their experiences, I have a feeling the product wouldn't do much for the American people as a whole.

Regardless of whether or not your or my friends and acquaintances "have done quite well for themselves," according to the 2003 US Census Bureau stats, Bachelor's degree holders make an average of nearly $23,000 more than high school graduates. If you're an office holder looking to improve the overall American quality of life, you have to pay more attention to that statistic than say, the fact that Bill Gates dropped out of Harvard but still managed to become a billionaire. Bill Gates is obviously the exception rather than the rule.

It doesn't have anything to do with being a bleeding heart liberal or a socialist. In order to sustain our economy, folks need to be able to make and spend money - the more the better. In the interest of full disclosure, I'm not a Hillary supporter, although I am a Democrat. I'm not sure from what context you took Senator Clinton's quotation, but I'm pretty certain that she (and hell, probably former Senator Edwards too) is less interested in insulting your intelligence than she is in trying to ensure that Americans have jobs that will pay their bills.

I have to say your questions:

Are the economic policies of Edwards and Clinton condescending towards the same people they claim to help?

…seems to bring back the recent condescending remarks of Hilary Clinton and her many accents from a Baptist Church to a hick town in Ok., her accents were more offensive than her massage at times. She portrayed an attitude of trying to assist the very people she is in the process of offending!

You are kidding right? The media is overwhelming exactly that way. So is our current administration. It's the rich and powerful that get the biggest tax subsidies and government handouts than anyother class. Most people without a college degree don't always make as much money or are as successful as people with college degrees.

Hell, the #1 pandering treasure of the left, Affirmative Action, is incredibly cruel and condescending:

1. Cruel - Since you're too stupid to make it on your own, we're going to lower the bar for you. Then, after 4 or 5 years when you graduate, you will be filled with a false sense of accomplishment and left to fend for yourself when you realize that others who didn't have the bar lowered have superior skills.

2. Condescending - You can't make it on your own. You are down because of racism. Don't even try. Come on over to mommy in the big government tent. She's here to help.

These hypocritically socialists are just trying to create class envy amongst the haves and have nots. All to get more votes.

Ever notice liberals and the democratic voters are made up of:
1. Pro Palestinian groups
2. Socialists
3. Unending womens rights groups, even though we have equal rights
4. Anti war
5. Islamic sympathizers
6. Anti semites
7. Pro choicers
8. Hippies
9. Wacko environmentalist groups
10. Union supporters
11. Groups playing racial politics (Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackass)
12. Anti death penalty groups
13. Gay rights groups
14. Farmers
15. Anarchists
16. Atheists
17. Communists

And anyone else that is anti traditional western Christian American values. I'm sure I forgot to name some. See what us conservative republicans are up against! Even though some of these groups have totally conflicting ideals. Like Islamic fundamentalists and their sharia law conflicts with homosexuals. But they unite against us, their common enemy.
