I do laundry all the time, and my electric bill is getting pretty high. A couple of people told me there are certain times of the day to do laundry. Some told me in the afternoon between 12 pm and 4pm and some have told me at night. What do you recommend?

I recommend late at night when there is not as many appliances being used this is how the electric company saves on it's power consumption, but if you really want to save energy then really what you should do is do all your laundry on one day insteady of doing it on many consecutive days this is really what eats up the electricity cost the keyword here is do loads on one day not many days like say you do it just one day in the week, like I do, it really does save on the cost of running your appliances. Good Luck !

At night usually after 10pm... Also it really helps to not run both the washer/dryer at the same time.. So, at night before bed I run a load in the wash.... When I get up in the morning I put in the dryer or I hang ... I also run my dishwasher on time delay.. So, it runs around 4am... I only run full loads of clothes and dishes.. I'm able to save about $75 a month.. Just not running main appliances together... good luck

I do my laundry either late at night or very early in the morning. if you do it during the middle of the day that's the peak period for energy consumption.

Peak hours are the traditional business hours which costs the most since it is during the high demand time frame. Anytime after 6PM, less electricity and water is used which will save you $. The cheapest is after 10PM.

Use Warm Wash/Cold Rinse on the washer and Auto Dry cycle on the dryer.
