I'm a DJ in a radio station here in the Philippines and I host as well as co-produce a variety of radio commercials. The rates vary, and may depend on your voice quality and the quality of the radio ad itself. The rates here in the Philippines are lower than those in the States, so I really don't know how much it would or should cost over there.

Well if you purchase advertising from a Clear Channel station they have something called voice share where they post the commercial copy, and somebody from another market will cut the spot so it's not a local voice.....and they don't charge for that to my knowledge...I work on the programming side and have done several commercials that ran in different markets.....and never got paid for everytime it aired.....agencies are completely different animals.

This is an extremely competitive field, and you need real talent and uniqueness to get a foot in the door. You need to develop your own characters or impersonations and they need to be good. It's hard to get a break since most producers have a good selection of talent already and tend to work with people they know. You'll need to make an impressive demo tape and send it around. zxc

it varies, It should have all been worked out in a contract, National spots pay more than local, but i know local spots give from pennies up to 50 bucks a spin. It depends on the product, the company you promoted, the stations rotating it,

Congrats. You should have an entertainment attorney work out the contract for you since it could vary by a lot. Don't sign any contract on your own! Great work now go out and get another deal, while you are on a winning streak.

That's something you have to ask them, just like you would ask about how much would be paid for the session.
