That is the sad part. Nothing good is likely to happen no matter what. That is why people are so disgusted.

If us troops withdraw from iraq, what will happen. They'll "follow us home"? Do you really think that the presence in iraqis protecting us? There are terrorist's all over, and a very small percentage of them are in iraq? How is that protecting us?

And, if the withdrawal is done ina well fashion, such as a gradua pullout, while simaltaneously handing over power to the iraqi army.

Iraq is a toilet ! I have real concerns that this country has been at war with their different tribes since Jesus walked the planet four thousand years ago, their police forces, military are unwilling to step up and do the freaking job they should be doing! We have pumped billions of dollars into training their forces and after six years they're still not competent! and have infiltrators, who are killing our troops (news item just today). I'm afraid that these people are a bunch of blood thirsty animals that get off on beheading people and will never embrace peace because each tribe (Sunnie, Shitites want to be in control) that is never going to change people!

Their religion clearly says in the "Koran" Death to all Infidels" That means they are instructed by their crazy mu la's to kill everyone who is not of their faith! That's us Folks!!!

Throw the vipers to the ground and strike them dead before they kill us! This pacifism isn't working!

the whole fight in iraq is to allow them to form a democratic government that wont support terrorism, or allow them to use Iraq for a safe haven. Withdrawing the troops now would cause this government to fall rather quickly, making the entire operation worthless, wasting the time we did spend there, idk if going there was right, but now that we ARE there i dont think we have a choice but to finish it. If iraq turns into a terrorist networking country, then all our efforts were in vain, and we would have to go back again in the future.

It depends on how the withdrawal is handled.

If it is handled as badly as the rest of the occupation, the casualties could be huge.

If it is handled efficiently and effectively, then it's going to be a gradual process (probably taking 4~6 months) and casualties can be kept to no worse than current levels.

More people have died right here in this country by gunshot or drunk driving, or many other single causes than have been killed in Iraq during the same period of time. No, this does not justify the loss of American lives but it will save many lives here in the long-run.

The mass causalities going on now are real.

The ones you believe you can predict are made up fortune-telling casualties.

I think the real casualties are worse.

These people have been killing each other for hundreds of years. They were given an opportunity for democracy and have rejected it through their continued violence. I say let them kill each other and get our brave soldiers out of harms way.
