Using (an under manned) US military to invade every country that may or may not have terrorists & get stuck in an insurgent quagmire like Iraq or use US intelligence/speical forces/foreign allied intelligence (FYI: Good intelligence has stopped every terrorist threat against the US since 9/11)

Use political and economic pressure to cut off funds and supplies, and use military forces as a last resort to strategically attack specific terrorist camps and bases.

Terrorism should be confronted by a combination of intelligence operations and a HUMBLE foreign policy. Remove troops from the Middle East, trade freely with individuals and nations, stop giving foreign "aid" to Israel, Egypt, and just about every other Middle Eastern nation. Let them forge their own destiny, absent the USA.

-With reasonable security measures and good intelligence.
-On the international front, by a categorical refusal to support governments who are antidemocratic and abusive of human rights, such as Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan. 1) It makes it very hard for anybody to take our moral stances seriously. 2) We're fostering both resentment and hatred that way.
-And just a thought, maybe stop arming extremists.

Quit letting the politicians fight our wars and let the military do it's job. Keep the media out of it so the terrorists don't know everything that is about to happen to them. Fight terrorism with terrorism. Or of course let the cockroaches fight amongst themselves, kill themselves off and then we won't have to worry about the little turds anymore.
This is becoming another Viet Nam.
