I will go to WDW in october for 7 days but I don't know if I should buy the park hopper option. I know how the benefits work, however, I'm not sure how it works WITHOUT the park hopper option. If I buy the regular (no hopper option) tickets, can I go to one park, go to a restaurant somewhere else, and then go back to the same park with the same ticket? If I can do that I dont really need the park hopper ottion

As long as you aren't planning to go to another park to have dinner, you are fine. You can come and go to the same park each day as many times as you like. The only thing you can't do is go to more than one park, you have to stay in the same park for that whole day, the next day you go to another park and so on.

The park hopper is great if you want to be able to go to several parks in a day, or maybe spend a little time at one park and then go somewhere else for dinner, but I don't think it is something you have to get. Especially for someone trying to get the most out of their time at Disney, the park hopper isn't as good for them, or if it is a first trip. So much time is spent going between parks that it really takes away from the time you have to do things. The only benefit is like I mentioned before and if you want to go to like Animal Kingdom and it closes early, you have the option to go to another park.

If it were me and I was trying to save money on a trip, I would probably go without the park hopper, unless I've been there enough times that I don't want to see everything in each park. In my opinion, the water park option is a better deal, I would rather do a water park or DisneyQuest after a park than doing another park.

Have a great time!

Without the park hopper you are limited to one park. If you want to go to another park for dinner, you would have to pay full admission to that park. Since you're going to be there for 7 days, it would really be a benefit to get the park hopper ticket. Each park has SO many different things to offer. Not only can you hop around between the parks day to day, but you can hop around the parks in the same day, see the fireworks in a different park every night & 7days in one park would get very boring.

Im pretty sure that is how it works. But just keep in mind...if you are in MGM and want to go to Epcot for dinner...you would have to pay the enterence fee for Epcot. Thats why it worked for me to have the park hopper. Cause we went to Mexico for dinner like 3 nights

atleast I think thats how it works
