Yea! My vet even put this question on the paper work you fill out at the first visit. I swore I could see the CHA--CHING in his eyes as he read read my answer.

why don't you think that treating a pet like a member of the family IS how to treat a pet?

Well, my sister lives near me with her dog. And we certainly treat Bessie (the dog) like a family member.
I own smaller animals that are confined to aquariums or a terrarium and they are pets. I don't consider them family members.

Yes, he is a member of the family... He wouldn't know what to do, if he was actually treated like a dog! He thinks he is human!! lol

yes 2 of my dogs have died in the past 2 month and i had one for 6 years and the other for 12 years. i was more upset over their death than i was over my aunts. i would say that pets are closer than some family.
