Hey I'm 16 living in Australia and I was wondering why Warner Bros. only held Open Auditions for the Harry Potter films in the UK only? it seems kind of unfair for.

As far as I know , the author lives in the UK. She probably doesn't want to travel.

A reported demand Rowling made was that the principal cast be kept strictly British, nonetheless allowing for the inclusion of many Irish actors such as the late Richard Harris as Dumbledore, and for casting of French and Eastern European actors in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire where characters from the book are specified as such.
