That has happened to me. I coiuld not believe they were more interested in pointing out my error than answering the question. I guess we're not allowed to make mistakes.

yeah, i like totally don't understand the hate that some people get because of a typo. But many people i guess just prefer to read in proper english cause then its easier to understand. Also, when people make typos it messes the entire meaning of the question which makes it more difficult to answer right. But the truth of the matter is that sometimes a typo can draw people to a question and thats not an all together bad thing

Basically because they feel proud of making you feel bad. One than another may politely correct you so that you better Ignored Error is Repeated Error.
Sometimes they do that because they don't know the answer and just want to get 2 points. Human values have decreased so much during the last two centuries that people robs like a sport, kill like every day thing andprotest for the first thing or Govern error they can find. Its the fault of their parents that didn't teach them manners.

If it's just a minor error, I don't see why anyone would say anything. Typos happen. However, there are some people on here who have terrible grammar and spelling and you can't understand a word in their question. Or they use chat/text language which not everyone is familiar with. Frustrating.

Well, it bothers people. Especially me. I see typos in even the school newspapers. I mean, doesn't anyone edit them? They're mass typos! When they're accidental, I can accept that. I mean, if I see it multiple times, especially in the same post, then I'll correct them. But if it's the on-purpose typos like: wat, ur, u, r, dat, lol, 2, 4, stuff like that, then I'd call it attacking. It is so annoying!!! But really, it's the grammar freaks like me that do this, for the sake of grammar. Sometimes we like to make sure that you know how to spell the word, just incase that wasn't a typo, and that's how they thought it was spelled.

Yes!!! I forgot! Thanks to the person a couple answers above me, I remembered. You can spell check your answer!! That's another reason why it's so annoying!

You ve made a point and the truth hurts.. So the only thing that the person can do is bash you with the typo .

Because THEY are all perfect and never ever make mistakes. Honey, it's a shame isn't it? Everyone is willing to jump on the bandwagon for an error, but wouldn't tell you if you had spinach on your tooth. Makes no sense.

I dislike that very much I mean you're asking something that you don't know or simply to read different things not for a grammar lesson.

Because you can spell check your question before you post it. And when things are misspelled or incorrect grammar is used it distracts me from the question because I am trying to figure out what that person means.
