If our government is afraid they'll 'follow us home' and do harm to us here(as they insist)... then bring our young people home and allow them to do what they signed on to do - PROTECT USA. Not fight for oil rights to benefit the already very rich.

We need to secure our borders!!! Neither party is on the voter's side on this issue. Can we get some of our jobs back (from sending them overseas to cheaper labor... or allowing illegals from undercutting our american wages by 50% or more?)

If you're a middle-class citizen in the US (as I am) YOU SHOULD BE VERY WORRIED. They're selling off our country.

I don't care how many "thumbs down" I receive for this post! This was a mild post compared to how I truly feel.

Would we like it if a country were to tell us how to run our country? We are in Iraq by deception. 9-11 was caused by Bin Laden and he was in Afghanistan which we did go into. Somehow, we ended up in Iraq after Hussein who tried to assassinate Bush's father.

These people have their customs and religions that aren't ours but we should respect that and leave them alone.

In the process, we are more hated than ever and believe me, going there caused us more harm than you ever will know. We got out of Vietnam when we had no business being there and they ended up going communisim in south viet nam.

I am all for a pullout. I said the day 911 occurred that we should close our borders and take care of our own.

I am not a conservative, liberal, democrat or a republican. Just an ordinary American that feels that we need to protect our own. We have alot of poor and sick people in the USA that have no health insurance and New Orleans has yet to get rebuilt with people still living in those trailers.

There will be repercussions from other countries that will echo for many years.

God Bless Us All!!

Troops stationed on American soil would protect America far better than troops stationed in Iraq. That much is obvious.

There are a number of individuals who have deluded themselves into believing that because US troops are in Iraq, individuals bent on terrorist acts can't come to the US. That is utterly, totally, and competely illogical. Why would anyone think that, in today's day and age of rapid transportation, that simply because US troops are in Iraq, foreign fighters can't come here?

Leaving Iraq wouldn't protect our country. Even the liberal savior of mankind Hilary Clinton agrees to that fact.

no remember the type you conceal this, it incredibly is a Politics question. Pres. Obama made it sparkling mutually as he replaced into campaigning that he needed the conflict in Afghanistan. Now, he seems to be retaining back on offering our troops what they'd desire to get the activity executed. you may not salary conflict and not kill human beings. Our troops are over there demise mutually as he prevaricates right here. He would desire to the two combat it to win it or convey our troops abode. yet under no circumstances would desire to our leaving have something to do with appeasing al qaeda, as your question looks to signify. they want us ineffective and any perceived victory empowers them to do extra killing, no longer much less. you may not appease those monsters.

It could be argued you are defending your country whilst in Iraq. Bin Laden knows no borders.

Mind you, the States could be doing something more positive in Iraq to help the people. I feel this may be lacking.
