A bad door ajar switch.

Ahh you left the keys in the ignition.

Come on, think. The door open indication is telling you a door is not fully closed. If all the doors are fully closed then the problem lies in the detection circuit.

This shouldn't be hard to diagnose but because of the way the wiring is in cars it could take some time to fix it.

Hi,
The door ajar switch may be damaged or stuck.clean it with WD 40 and replace .Hope it will go off otherwise you have to consult a electrician.

either a shorted door jamb switch, or wire that goes to it fell of inside the pillar behind it.

Your door switch (that little pushbutton) is stuck. If you can remove it, try cleaning it before you replace it.
