Those broadcasts do travel into space. They move outward from Earth at about the speed of light. So if you take the year 1900 as when the first weak artificial radio signals were generated, then Earth is in the middle of a sphere roughly 200 light years in diameter.

Some of them do. TV signals and some radio signals spread out into space--andif someone had sensitive enough equipment, they could be detected--in theory even by someone in another star system.
But some signals don't spread out into space. That's because parts of the earth's upper atmosphere are opaque to those frequencies and will reflect them back to earth. That can be handy--"ham" radios can talk to people on the opposite side of the earth by taking advantage of this--their signals jsut bounce back and forth between the earth's surface and the upper atmosphere as they circle the earth.

Intelligent beings can picked up the radio waves and know that they are created by intelligent beings. But they will need TVs and radios to see the pictures and hear the sounds.

yes they do and yes they can be picked up by aliens. but all the signals we have sent out for all these years have only reached our neighbouring systems. they haven't really gone very far. lol imagine an alien ship picking up a signal from a movie made on aliens, like mars attack or war of the world. lol, they would think, what the hell is going on. and their over sized brains would pop. i am not sure of all rays can go out into space some are deflected by certain layers of the atmosphere.

yes the transmissions travel into space at the speed of light. if you watched a show on t.v. that same show would reach the nearest star in 4.22 years

yea they are broadcast in space, and most likely other life forms will be able to pick them up if they have the technology, which they most likely do

Yes they do, at the same speed as light. It would still take a very, very long time for them to get far in cosmological terms.
