This happened in NYC. He was given a 3 year sentence of conditional discharge. He doesn't report to a p.o.

If he was sentenced the same day, his probation began on 5/31/05 and ends 5/31/08. As of 6/1/08 - he would no longer be on probation

Your cousin has almost 10 months remaining as long as he stays out of trouble.

The day he was sentenced. Any paper work from the court or his probation officer should have the start and end date of his sentence/probation.

Probation would begin the day after his prison sentence was completed. If he didn't get a prison sentence, then it should begin the day after the final court day.
