I've got 2 females, yes, I'm prepared... But my one female is alot plumper than my other female... How can you tell if they're pregnant? And how long are they pregnant before they have fry?

A pregnant guppy will look much like this one:

Notice the dark spot at the end of her belly, that's the gravid spot and will show on any pregnant guppy. here's another example:

Normal gestation for a guppy is about 28 days from the day she got pregnant. That can easily vary by 10 days though.

All female guppies have a gravid spot (that's the dark spot) even when they're not pregnant. However, when the are pregnant their gravid spot becomes larger and significantly darker. Make sure you have at least two females for every male in your tank, it increases your chances of breeding. In response to your breeder/net breeder question, I highly recommend you just let your females give birth in the main tank and then try to fish them out later. If you try and net your females and put them in a different tank to give birth, it's just going to stress them out. Your adults may eat some of the fry but the majority of them will survive just as long as there are a couple of plants and hiding places in the tank. The fry are nimble and will escape the adults no problem with those things present. Good luck!

back of abdomen gets dark as the fry develope( ifnot an opaque color) usually have fry once a month but if young may be 3 mo before first time having young then approximately every 30 days will have a new bunch of fry, water temp also has a lot to due with length of gestation 78-80 degrees is best

they do get plumper. they also get a dark spot on their abdomen that gets darker as it gets closer to delivery. i believe the pregnancy can last 3 months from conception, but i'm not sure about how long after you see physical signs. make sure the fry will have a good place to hide once born. good luck!

they look like they're gonna explode!!! i'm told that when the bottom of their big bellies look flat instead of round is when they're about to have the fry.

They start to get fatter and have a black spot (gravid spot) just above her anal fin. It is impossible to tell when they are going to give birth, so just per her inside a breeding trap/tank when you start to see signs of pregnancy.
