Whatever happened to the SARS pandemic?

Why does the media hype negative press up to make us cower in our homes? The newest 'End of Days' mania is global warming. Man made according to most media outlets and Al Gore. Even though a lot of top notch climatology scientists refute that claim. One news channel went as far as to say that Kenya, Africa's average temperature is going to be 180 degrees F, killing nearly all life there. Although they didn't include a date when that will happen. One person on the radio said, it'd probably take a few thousand years before it reached that temperature.

it gave way to the bird flue pandemic, and now as you rightly state it is the turn of global warming, but 180 Fahrenheit is excessive it should read celcius.

SARS can't be compared to Global Warming. SARS can be compared to the flu..Pandemics of SARS nature come and go...The Spanish Flu killed millions but you don't see people questioning its legitimacy. The Bird Flu could very well wreak havoc as well.

Temperatures rise and fall, too. They, however, don't do so on the scale we're seeing right now. You never had people saying SARS was the worst pandemic ever..it wasn't. You see people saying Global Warming is the biggest climate crisis ever because it is.

Then explain why the glaciers in Greenland have receded so much in so short a time frame. It was believed it would take 400 years to reach the point they are at at this very moment in time. But your question about SARS is valid none the less.

I've forgotten what SARS is.

I remember 'Bird flu' was the big scare two years ago.

I do believe global warming is a threat, but people like Gore blow it way out of proportion just to get money and attention.

The media uses scare tactics to get more ratings...its all about money for them.
