And the note that Harry found in it saying it was a fake was put there by Voldemort to throw everybody off? It seems hard to believe that one person (RAB) could have taken the real Horcrux and replaced it with a fake one when Harry and Dumbledore together had so much trouble getting to it.

What do you think?

I don't think it was unless it's transfigured to look like an insignificant item. Good thought, but as we know voldemort wanted his horcruxes to be of importance slytherines locket, is a very important piece to the collection, I don't think voldemort ever even thought that anyone would ever realize that he had horcruxes in the first place.

Well, it could be either one. Dumbledore and Harry would have been fine after recovering the Horcrux if they hadn't returned to Hogwarts in the middle of a Death Eater attack. So it's possible that someone else did get the horcrux first. And if they were not as caring as our heroes, they could have just forced someone to drink the potion and left them behind in the pool.

Not long now, and all your questions will be answered.

I think it's a fake. I can't believe Dumbledore's dead... and I can't believe Snape's the one to kill him. I mean killing off Sirius was bad enough.... but Dumbledore? Lupin's the only one Harry's got, other than the Weasley's and Hermione of course. I bet this book was hard to write cause of all the crazy stuff that happened before. Every time Harry had a problem before, he turned to Dumbledore. Then he met Sirius. Now they're both dead. He isn't all that close to Lupin... OMG I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE BOOK ANY LONGER

It was really a fake one, and nobody said that RAB (whoemever he is) was alone when he went to get the real one..

In Mugglenet.com's What Will Happen in Book 7, they are speculating whether RAB is Regulus Black (Sirius' brother) what do you think too?

Well, it certainly wasn't the locket they were looking for, no matter what it is. So (and assuming Voldemort was too vain to think someone could get past his defenses and too vain to use another locket) it's a fake.

I think R.A.B is Sirius' brother Regulas; he's not really dead. And yes, I've thought of that myself.
