Maybe because of being empathic and some people are in the womb. Also a lot of people grow up having their own space so there is the illusion created of being alone and the perception sticks.

Because maybe they're more extroverted and direct their energy outwards toward other people and perhaps you are more of the type that stays inside your head a lot and can't relate as well to these rowdy boisterous types.

This does not mean there is anything wrong with you, it just means that this is the way you are. Do you and your friends truly share common interests and similar ways of thinking about the world and life in general? Or, are you trying to fit in with "players" that are entirely in a different league?

I felt like that when I went to band camp in high school. I think I was homesick.
I felt like I was off in another place with all these people around me.

Because they just don't understand what's going on inside us or understand what problems we have because theirs seem like nothing compared to ours, yet all they do is complain about their personal problems and kind of just zone out when we try to confide in them because they don't have the capacity to understand because they don't have our experiences.

because we feel that no one understands what we are going thru......even if you know they have been thru it....it's probably hard to discuss your true feelings ........and it's hard to determine who is a true friend that you can divulge your true being to without ridicule.
